A place to think through complex motor speech questions with other SLPs

The CAS Collective is an ongoing clinical community for speech-language pathologists working with childhood apraxia of speech, pediatric motor speech and complex speech sound disorders.

Bring a question. Hear how other clinicians approach the work. Leave with new perspectives and a clearer sense of what to explore next.

$187 CAD quarterly or $697 CAD annually.

Enrollment closes Oct 27, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

When you want another perspective

You may have substantial training and experience and still encounter a question that needs more thought.

The Collective gives those questions room. You can explain your thinking, consider different perspectives and return to the conversation as your understanding develops.

You do not need to arrive with every answer or a perfectly worded question.

Two monthly conversations, with different purposes

Case Discussions

A focused space to think through complex cases and clinical questions. Members bring observations, explore practical considerations and hear multiple informed perspectives. You can return with follow-up updates, or learn by listening to another clinician’s discussion.

Collective Calls

A broader conversation about our work: useful resources, developments and debates in the field, and the realities of being an SLP. These calls give you a place to connect with colleagues who understand pediatric motor speech practice.

Participate around your schedule

Each call type has a dedicated advance-submission form. You can submit a question or case for discussion even when you cannot attend live.

Replays of both Case Discussions and Collective Calls are uploaded within 24 hours. Watch when your schedule allows, pause to take notes and return to a relevant discussion.

Live participation lets you respond in the moment. Advance submissions and recordings provide another way to engage when your schedule or time zone makes attendance difficult.

Existing resources you can return to

Existing resources you can return toMembership includes the existing call replay libraries and practical video and resource library.

Explore topics such as treatment goal writing, parent involvement, distributed practice, ReST and motor learning. Resources include video explanations, handouts and tools you can revisit alongside the discussions.

Start with one question that connects to your practice. You do not need to work through the whole library before participating.

Brooke Rea

A note from Brooke

Hi, I’m Brooke Rea, owner and director of the Childhood Apraxia & Speech Therapy Centre.

I created The CAS Collective because complex motor speech work deserves thoughtful professional conversation.

I value being able to think aloud, question assumptions and hear what other clinicians bring to the discussion. My role is to help clarify the question and make room for those perspectives.

The Collective gives us an ongoing place to do that together, with recordings and resources to return to between calls.

I’d love to welcome you.

Who this space is for

Developing Experience

The Collective is for SLPs who work with childhood apraxia of speech, pediatric motor speech or complex speech sound disorders and value ongoing clinical discussion.

Experienced Clinician

You might be the clinician others already turn to with questions. You can bring your perspective and keep examining your thinking.

Professional Responsibility

The membership supports reflection and shared learning. Clinical decisions remain your professional responsibility.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I cannot attend the calls live?

You can pre-submit a question or case through the form for each call type. Both call replays are uploaded within 24 hours, so you can watch later and revisit discussions.

There is one Case Discussion and one Collective Call each month. Check the current member schedule for individual dates and times.

You can learn from listening to other clinicians’ questions and perspectives. When you have something to bring, the advance forms help you submit it.

Experienced clinicians can contribute their perspectives while gaining access to conversations beyond their own workplace. The focus is thoughtful discussion of complex work, rather than a requirement to be at a particular career stage.

Membership includes the existing call replay libraries and practical video and resource library, alongside the ongoing monthly calls.

After this October opening, the next enrollment period is planned for late February 2027. Enrollment will open only in October and February going forward.
